“Krola” Exhibition by Pen Robit

In this “Krola” series, Pen Robit beautifully blends forms reminiscent of rice fields, fishermen’s nets, and the traditional Cambodian Krama scarf. Robit’s journey into Cambodia’s rich heritage and the ancient Angkor Temples deepened his connection to Khmer design and sculpture. Moving from the dark shadows of his past works, this new series bursts with vibrant colors, celebrating Cambodia’s legacy.

Inspired by Angkorian art and nature, Robit uses bold contrasts and the dripping technique to create stunning pieces. His works feature motifs from Angkor Wat, like Phka Chan and Phka Chork, symbolizing a blend of personal and cultural stories. This series represents a new chapter in Robit’s artistic evolution, merging his unique style with Cambodia’s heritage and natural beauty, offering a fresh perspective on the country’s landscapes and culture.
